Had split system AC units installed for 3 rooms including loft. James was prompt in visiting the property, answering any queries and providing a competitive quote.

Having accepted the quote, communication for the expected works was very good and James was always patient, friendly and showed great flexibility re-scheduling the work as my own building works overran. In the end, installation was completed quickly and neatly without any fuss.

Thermacool provides a professional and reliable service and I would highly recommend them.

James was brilliant. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
The unit was being put in when we were undertaking a major renovation. First of all, he advised us well on the type of unit, then communicated with our builders at each stage, so they would have everything in place for him. He worked around the best times to install and finished the job well.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

How much does air conditioning installation cost?

The cost depends on the room size, system type, pipework route and how many rooms you want to cover. As a general guide, a straightforward single-room system typically starts from around £1,500–£3,000+ including supply and installation. For an accurate price, contact us for a quote tailored to your property.

How much does air conditioning cost to run?

Modern air conditioning is usually cheaper to run than many people expect. The actual cost depends on the system, the temperature setting, insulation and how long you use it for.

How long does installation take?

Most single-room installations are completed in one day. Larger or multi-room systems can take longer depending on the layout and scope of work.

Do I need planning permission?

In many cases, no. Most standard domestic installations do not need planning permission, but this can depend on the property and where the outdoor unit is fitted.

Are the units noisy?

Modern systems are designed to run very quietly, which makes them suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices. The exact noise level depends on the model and how hard it is working.

Can air conditioning heat as well as cool?

Yes. Most modern systems provide both cooling and heating, making them a practical year-round solution for the home.

What servicing is required?

We recommend servicing your air conditioning at least once a year. Regular servicing helps keep it efficient, reliable and less likely to break down.

Do you cover my area?

Yes. We cover Surrey and surrounding areas, including Woking, Guildford, Weybridge, Cobham, Esher, Kingston, Twickenham, Staines and Richmond.
