Can air-conditioning units heat as well as cool?
Yes. Most air-conditioning units will do heating and cooling as standard.
Where can I have air-conditioning installed?
You can have air-conditioning installed almost anywhere, as long as it follows the manufacturers requirements.
We recommend to have the outdoor unit on the same wall as the indoor unit if it’s possible. If this is not possible some units can be up to 30 meters away from each other.
How long does air-conditioning last?
Air-conditioning should last 7-12 years depending on what unit is installed and how well it is maintained.
Will the air-conditioning unit come with a warranty?
The warranty will vary depending on what unit/manufacturer is chosen. This can be up to 7 years.
How long does air-conditioning take to install?
It should take roughly 1 day for your installer to fit a simple back to back unit. Please contact us for more information about your installation.
What size unit will I need?
The size of unit will vary depending on the room size, what the room is being used for and the heat losses of the building.
What are kW or Kilowatt?
A kilowatt is a unit of energy. The bigger a room, the more kW will be needed to cool/heat that room.

How much will a new boiler cost?
A brand new A-rated boiler fitted by a fully qualified gas engineer will cost between £2000 – £4000.
Will getting a new boiler installed be messy?
No. Our engineers will do their best to protect your property and belongings using dust sheets and other necessary measures. They will also clean work areas everyday before leaving.
Do I need to do anything prior to my new boiler being installed?
Yes. Before your installer arrives, clear away any belongings and valuables surrounding the boiler and make sure there is clear access to the boiler if possible.
What is a filter?
A magnetic filter is fitted on the return pipe on all new boilers and its purpose is to collect any magnetite and sludge in your heating system to prevent blockages in the heat exchanger.
What is a power flush and will I need to have my system power flushed?
A power flush is a chemical solution that uses a pump and a magnet to clean any rust and debris inside pipes/radiators that may be causing your system to not work as well as it should.
You won’t always need a power flush as it depends on how old your system is and whether or not it has been flushed before. Please contact us for more information on power flushing and whether or not you need it.
How much does power flushing cost?
Roughly £600 for the first 8 radiators and if your system as more than 8 radiators it will be an additional £80 per radiator.
Will you get rid of my old boiler and rubbish from the work done?
Yes. Once the job is complete we will clear all the rubbish and and clean up any mess.
Does my boiler come with a warranty?
Yes. Generally any new boiler installed will have a minimum 7 year warranty which can also be extended to 10 years at cost.
What do I do if my boiler loses pressure?
Using the filling loop, open the valves and fill the system back up to 1.3 bar ideally when the system is cold then shut the valves off.
If your system persistently loses pressure and you are having to top it up more than once every 6 months, please contacts us to discuss further action as there could be a leak on your system.
What is a filling loop?
A filling loop is a pipe that connects your heating pipes to your mains water supply. A. It is used to fill your and re pressurise your heating system.
It will generally have 2 black lever valves on it and it looks like a metal hose.
It can usually be found near the boiler or near the cylinder.
